Kate founded GCB Medical Supply when she became aware of an urgent medical need at Boston Children’s Hospital, where her daughter, Georgia ClaireBowen, was inpatient for six months in 2018 as the recipient of a life saving heart transplant. The Director of Supply Chain at Boston Children’s told Kate of their critical need for procedural loop masks to protect their front line workers from the COVID-19 pandemic, and Kate was eager to help. Kate channeled her experiences in the medical device industry and as Founder and CEO of PetitPeony, an apparel manufacturer, as well as her factory relationships, to vet and source necessary PPE to protect the frontline workers who saved Georgia’s life. Kate graduated from Saint Michael’s College with a BS in BusinessAdministration and Management.
